Safety Engineering

Safety Engineering is one of the fields of study at the Faculty of Technology Fundamentals since 2014. It covers 7 semesters in the case of full time students and 8 semesters – part time. Graduates receive B.Eng. diploma

According to the requirements in practical mode, the curriculum covers a lot of practical classes (60% in total), such as among others: identification, monitoring, analysis and design of safety systems, risk analysis for hazard generation, organization and functioning of safety systems. Students become skillful in correct and responsible rescue organization and acting, logistics, inspection of observance of adherence to work safety rules and conditions, incl.: information system safety.

The graduates are fully prepared to take up jobs as specialist for safety in different types of enterprises and institutions. They are qualified as instructors for industrial safety, Health and Safety inspectors or specialists/senior specialists for industrial safety in enterprises and institutions. This practical mode meets the current demand at entrepreneur market, providing complete qualification according to EC standards in industrial safety jobs.

Qualifications and skills gained during study at safety engineering enable graduates to take up the following jobs:

  • in state and private enterprises
  • as specialists in institutions, schools, offices, design, bureaus that deal with Hygiene & Safety issues or safety engineering
  • In local sectors where systems of technical protection, monitoring and control are designed, manufactured and operated,
  • at self employment units in the safety range.
