Professor Czerwiński’s participation in an international conference in Brussels

16.12.2025

On November 24–25, 2025 Prof. Dariusz Czerwiński represented our University and Faculty at the workshop Machine Learning for the Simulation of Nuclear Power Plants and Other Complex Systems, organized by ASNR in Brussels. The event, held as part of the Euratom Research and Training Programme, brought together experts in advanced computational methods, nuclear energy, and deep-tech technologies with high implementation potential.

The conference highlighted the growing importance of artificial intelligence in nuclear reactor simulations, including predictive models, digital twins, and hybrid approaches combining physics with machine learning. Key EU projects discussed during the event included ASSAS, FIND, ECC-SMART, and ECOSENS, covering topics such as:

  • radiation-resistant critical materials,
  • fusion and nuclear fission technologies,
  • sensors and quantum computing,
  • semiconductors for control systems,
  • AI for operational safety,
  • cybersecurity of nuclear infrastructure.
