On May 7, 2024, the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology was visited by students from class 2g with a mathematical-geographical profile from Hugo Kołłątaj VI High School in Lublin. Under the supervision of M.Sc. Eng. Magdalena Blacha, our alumna and currently a math teacher at VI High School, the students participated in regular classes held for third-year mathematics students on the subject of Number Theory and its selected applications. The lecture, conducted by Dr. Ewa Łazuka, focused on congruences and their properties. Afterwards, the students, along with the university students, had the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge during exercises led by M.Sc. Eng. Magdalena Piłat-Rożek, solving problems related to congruences and their practical applications. The visit was one of the activities planned as part of the ongoing project "Politechniczna sieć Via Carpatia" at the University. An additional final point of the meeting was a workshop on 3D Pens conducted by the Students Research Circle of Engineering Graphics and Computer Animation "AnimGRAF".
